Just picked up an '84 Éclair, complete with touring racks. She is in fair shape, but works great. I'm considering repainting her and installing your vintage decals. Its small, at 18", but hey, that's how I roll.

Love this site! I worked summers in the early 80s in a shop that sold Lotus bikes. I bought a Lotus Competition that was my most prized possession for years, until I gave up riding for supposedly more important "grown-up" things. I finally got back to riding 2 years ago, and after getting back into shape on a Fuji Espree touring bike, finally dusted off the Lotus last month. What a joy! Fellow riders laugh at my "vintage" bike, but I still love it. Thanks for these pages, to help take me back to that time.

Hi! Just bought, today, a red 84-85 Challenger mixte from a guy in Souderton, PA. I'm not sure, but you may have viewed this bike. Anyway, I had been looking for a beautiful Mixte for a while. When I saw her on CL, I had warm fuzzies right away. One quick ride and I knew we were made for each other. I'll be adding pics and SN info soon. Love the site and helpful links. Good work!

Just found your site after helping my son change the tires (original, I think!) on a bike he got free from an older couple in the neighborhood. With your charts, was able to determine it is an '84 or '85 challenger, though in a lavender color, one I have not seen listed anywhere. How do I submit a picture?
