I love this web site. Thank you for pulling together and posting all this great information. I recently acquired a Pro Series 2000R. It's an awesome bike, especially the frame. If you get a chance, check out my web show at http://TriRiot.com. I'll be talking about this bike on an upcoming episode. Thanks again.

I'm looking at buying a Lotus 1980 Grand Prix adn was wondering if $150 is a good price or should i look somewhere else? The bike is black and very good condition, though it looks like its been in a garage for awhile. The cables are all rusted and would need to be worked on as well as the handle wrap. Also what do Grand Prixs usually sell for retail once restored? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey folks, I'm the proud owner of a Ice Blue Lotus Competition. My father bought this bike new from a shop in Erie, PA I believe in '80 or '81. If I recall, the shop swapped out the original components for an all-Campy groupo and that groupo was subsequently put on another bike. My father gave me bare from several years ago with the Campy BB and HS still intact on the frame. I restored it as it would have been at the time my father bought it will an all-Campy Super Record Groupo that I had saved and accumulated over the years. My copy of this bike has the Lotus engraving on the front fork head. I'm glad to see this site.

Just received a Lotus - Excelle - Sport, EX4130. I would like to know the year it was produced & value then, and now. It is white and in excellent condition.

My 1984 Classique, NOS from a box where it had been hiding since it was shipped to the USA in 1984, just finished the Seattle to Portland ride on July 12 and 13 this year. My daughter chose not to ride her 1984 Lotus Legend Compe, which was also freed from a box last year, opting instead to ride her mother's 85 Trek which I rebuilt with Ultegra in 2012.
